My dear Marion,
I got your letter also you card and meant to answer e'er now but really it has been too hot to think much less exert yourself. We have all been as week as cats.
It is too bad you are not going to St. Catharines. Aren't you disappointed? I was fearfully. I straightway made arrangements to go up with the Whites when on Saturday got word from Cousin Nellie that she was ill and going away so my Toronto trip is all off too. Now, I am busy making new plans and I am none too pleased. I went immediately to Purdy to see if she would go somewhere with me and expect to hear by return. I've written to a couple of places this morning so hope to get settled this week. I have friends going to Weir in the Mtns. And I may to there. They say it is perfectly lovely, bathing, boating dancing and all the stunts. If I go there, I'll stay with them at the hotel for a month. I'll let you know as soon as I hear.
I had a fine time in St. Anne's. Did you get my card? I sent you one from there. We had the jolliest time, it was like being at a big hotel. We had the best time of any of them. There were about twelve of us went around together. We had something to do all the time. Every day we went in swimming and had loads of fun. We went driving, for walks and on the water a lot. Nearly every night we went out on the launch. The afternoon one of the girls had a friend come up in his launch and myself and one of the others were out all afternoon. Our evening parties were dandy. We had something different every night: ice cream, cake, ginger all, etc. We had these in our nighties and stayed up till all hours. I learned the story of many a life During these midnight chats. We all were sorry when it was over. I roomed with Vivien De Telliers. She is the cutest ever. All the girls got on so well.
I got the material for a navy duck skirt the other day. It is going to be cute. I'm getting a jumper blouse with collar to match. Mother is doing my skirt now. The bias folds are being piped with plain brown. Write soon
Lovingly
Olive
