Women Pilots and Fashion circa 1910

A 'retro' spread from Marie-Claire Magazine, France, 1937, issue number three (I just happen to own.)  According to the blurb when Wilbur Wright first started taking women for a ride, they just swooped their skirts into the plane and off they went.. But soon they adapted their flying clothes to resemble the male's. After WWI flying was seen as dangerous, so women became even less concerned for their appearance.
