Annie Watters to Marion Watters (cousins) C/O Mrs. Nicholson
Lynn Mass, Jan 14, 1908
My Dear Marion,
Seems to me I owe you a letter. I had a nice long letter from Christina after she returned from her visit in Richmond, telling me what a nice time she had there. It must be very lonely for Auntie now, after just having a look at her family at Christmastime. I was wondering the other day if you gave Flora her ribbon. I have not heard from her and you never mentioned it, but perhaps she has been very busy. How are you getting on in school? What are you thinking of following up, teaching? I think it would be well, don't you. Isn't Edith a 'brick' to stick with her school so bravely. She must like it. Do you skate? Who has charge of the rink now? I wanted to go home so much, with Kennie when he was going back. I was really almost lonesome. I stayed out at Sophy's over Sunday when he was there. Kennie has not changed any since I saw him last, over eight years ago. We are having splendid weather. I am going to Cliftondale tonight for dinner and to spend the evening at a friend's. I knew them before they were married; her name used to be Ethel Grey, now it is White. Just a change of colour. They are very nice and have a lovely home. Write to me when you have time, tell Flora I would like to hear from her. Give my love to Auntie and Flora,
Your loving sister, Annie
