Norman to Margaret

1908 September 1 La Tuque

Dear Margaret

I am dropping you a line to say I arrived here at 7 o'clock this morning all right. Met Mr. Malone at Quebec and he came up with me. Tomorrow we go down the line where they are laying iron. I found it very warm coming up here today, but this morning its some cooler. I am disgusted with my room. When I came it was topsy turvy compared to what it was when I left. I wish I could be like some people that can't see anything wrong. When I left I forgot to tell Herbert about wood, to get from the Last Factory, tell him to get 8 loads, that was the amount I got last year. I think that will do and let me know the number of loads they delivered. Tell him to try and get the right side of the transaction, if he has to give him a bait and I will see that he gets it back.  Will you let me know how many days it takes Ward to paint the house.

Norman,

PS. I think that you best see Mr. Jackson and have him take more interest in the subjects that Flora failed in and tell him how nervous she is.
