Margaret McLeod marries Norman Nicholson

I'm guessing this is the marriage. What else can it be? I may have that very lace collar in my possession. Margaret once told a granddaughter that had she known how hairy Norman was under his clothing, she might have reconsidered the marriage. This Tighsolas Website chronicles the family's financial problems in 1908-1913. Click here for an essay and more pics of this coupleClick here for all TIGHSOLAS fashion pages.

<<When the courting at midnight has ended
And he stands with his hat in his fist,
While she lovingly lingers beside him,
To bid him 'ta ta' and be kissed,
How busy the thoughts of the future,
You bet you his thoughts he don't speak,
He is wondering how they can manage,
To live on six dollars a week>>
One of Norman's Poems in his 1879 diary

<<May your cheeks retain their roses,
May your heart beat just as gay,
'Til some manly voice shall whisper,
Maggie dear, name the day."
