1) Lemon Creek Road:
I really lived on Coolbrook, beside Decarie Boulevard made in 1966 into an Expressway. (Lots of clanging all day long during that year.) I chose the street name Lemon Creek in homage to our Japanese Canadian Citizens who were interned in British Columbia during WWII. Click here for info on that Internment Camp.
A funny thing about my street, I don't recall ever having anything to do with anyone on the opposite side of the street. I can't recall one image, one incident with one person. It's as if no one lived there, although I stared outside by bedroom window onto those many homes, four families per 100 feet, for 5 years and I must have visited these places on Halloween. All the families with kids (my age) lived on my side of the street, mostly nearby. It's funny how kids are.
